01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
About this place
Step inside on the 2 floor and a display case filled with colourful, generously thick Korean macarons comes into view. At Macaron Cherie Tokyo, these treats are as carefully considered in their cream and flavour combinations as they are charming to look at.
The selection includes Cafe Brulee, with a fragrant browned-caramel flavour, and Rich Pistachio, pairing pistachio cream with tangy homemade raspberry jam. Other options include Salt Caramel, topped with an organic pretzel, and Green Monster, layered with cocoa cookies. There is plenty of variety in both flavour and texture.
The Dalgona drinks are a natural match for the sweets, topped with crisp karumeyaki, a light, caramelised sugar candy. Alongside the classic Dalgona Coffee, the menu includes Dalgona Milk and Dalgona Soy Milk, both made without coffee, as well as Dalgona Matcha. As the candy gradually dissolves into the milk, its bittersweet notes mingle with the drink's sweetness.
For something more refreshing, try a sparkling drink such as Fresh Lemonade or Citron Ade.
The calm, monochrome interior is a place to enjoy a treat in, and the macarons are also available to take away. They make an easy personal indulgence or a thoughtful gift, packed in a box.
